The Only Thing We

Read and reflect again on Daniel chapters 1-3.

This week we see some values and character traits that were evident in Daniel, his three friends and King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel exhibited a wise but quiet stand against Babylon culture at his arrival and stood for his God. Nebuchadnezzar waffled between humility and arrogance. The three friends made a bold stand for their God and a miracle happened. We are placed in situations every day that require wisdom and discernment on how we will stand for God, quietly or boldly.  Arrogance plagues us and humility seems elusive, but most of us won’t admit the struggle. Rest in God today. Read over the book of Daniel again today and see what gems there are for the taking. God’s word is the first place we should go to find the wisdom we need for each day.
