Read and reflect on Joshua chapter 11.

Joshua chapter 11-Follow-through

Joshua 11:23 “Joshua did all that the Lord directed…” (NIV)

Joshua waged war, destroyed kings, people groups and powerful cities. Joshua did all that to prepare the land to be received as an inheritance. Verse 18 tells us that the war waged on a long time. Do we have Joshua’s resolve and tenacity to keep waging war in our sphere of influence so that we are preparing for the inheritance and blessing the Lord intends for us? Some days yes, some days no! Take some encouragement from the New Testament: Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (NIV) And Galatians 6:2 reminds us “carry each other’s burdens”. Yes, first and foremost rely on God like Joshua did, remember God can make the sun stand still in a battle but also surround yourself with people in your life who want to help you carry your burdens. The encouragement is needed in this long battle to receive our inheritance!

Keep going, God has a plan for all you are doing.
