Read and reflect on Joshua chapter 12 today.

This could be a boring chapter to read because it only lists the kings Moses defeated before they entered the promise land and the kings Joshua defeated after they entered. Moses defeated two kings and Joshua defeated 31 kings- a total of 33 kings and a large amount of territory gained. It isn’t boring but a list to make you reflect on all God was doing in the victories that the Israelites experienced to gain the territories God intended for them. It made me think about territory in my own life that God has given me. Some of it feels like a battle every day such as raising the children God has given me. My beautiful home, my community and my workplace are other territories. Ladies and children, I minister to, friends and family I love in Christ’s name every day are also other territories. This is a count your blessings kind of passage in God’s word. Take time today to list some territories God has given you and thank him for it. Psalm 106:1 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” The Lord is never completed in gaining territories for you until he calls you home. Look out onto your territory and possible battle fields that lay ahead. Move forward on the Lord’s command and know that he is before you and behind.
