Galatians 6:6 “Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.” (NIV)
I see some if/then’s in this verse. If you are a student of the Bible, then when was the last time you shared insights back to your teacher? Teachers and instructors need your encouraging words. They tirelessly study and prepare their lessons. They pray for you and all your study mates. They concern themselves with your spiritual growth. Connect. Send your Priest, Pastor, Bible teacher, small group leader, or discipleship partner a word of encouragement this week. Just say thanks for taking the time to invest in your spiritual growth. It will be a boost to spur them on to continue in the needed work of instructing others. Be the person who returns to their teacher and shares. It will be a wonderful gift to your instructor. If you are not a student of the Bible at this point in your life, then why not start today. The words of eternal life are written in the Bible for all to access. Reading this short little devotion is a place to start but you have so much more potential than this. You can read the whole Bible for yourself and gain a lifetime of wisdom. The Word of God never gets old or tiresome. There are daily treasures to discover. I recommend studying with at least one other person. Two or more have insights and thought provoking viewpoints to make studying a rich experience. Don’t sell yourself short on this, learning should be something that occurs for an entire lifetime. Maybe one day you will be the teacher.
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6
