Integrity
Read and reflect on Daniel chapter 6.
Verse 4 says, “They could find no corruption in him (Daniel) because he was trustworthy, and neither corrupt nor negligent.” Trustworthy, pure, and attentive are three descriptive words about Daniel that could be summed up in this definition of integrity: adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.
Daniel’s integrity was based on his relationship with God. Daniel found God to be a God of integrity and therefore, worth following. Daniel found following God so worth it, he didn’t even fear the outcome of King Darius’s decree and went on praying to his God who had integrity.
God’s awesome integrity, purity and trustworthiness can flow into our own lives if we follow also. Have you found God worth following? Do you want to see integrity in your own life? Integrity=relationship with God. Think about it.
Blessings,
Ellen
