Visions!
Read and reflect on Daniel Chapter 7.
This chapter will be the beginning written records of Daniel’s overwhelming visions about the end of time. The big brain word here is ‘apocalypse’ writing about the end of time. Here are some things Daniel says about himself:
· vs. 15 “I was troubled in spirit and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me.”
· Vs. 28 “I was deeply troubled by my thoughts and my face turned pale.”
Hello, I bet he was feeling a little sick and pale! God ordained only a handful of people throughout history to be given these types of visions. The burden of it was enormous for Daniel.
Our responsibility is to read the knowledge recorded and do what we can. Share the love of Jesus, the final person of the end time story until He returns and ushers in this Biblical apocalyptic ending. Most importantly, we are to rest (have a peace) in God’s sovereignty and understand that good will triumph over evil in the end. The word of God is filled with many reminders of His peace that abounds to those who follow Him. “Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble” (Psalm 119:165).
Blessings,
