India Center News

Stella has recently moved some of the Unnati Ki Rah center activity further out of the slums of Delhi. A very large Pakistani refugee camp of over 1,000 families is in need of assistance. She is in the beginning stages of getting to the know the families and finding space for tutoring and sewing classes. Please pray for her as she begins to see what good works God is calling for her to do there. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which he has planned in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10.

A new place to love in Jesus name.

Arthi, one her best sewing students is now a teacher. We first met Arthi in January of 2019, at age 16. She married that spring after she graduated from high school. This was a big win for Stella to see one of her girl students make it all the way to graduation before being married. She was widowed six months later when her young husband was killed in an accident. After her mourning period was over, Stella helped her find a new husband. Now at age 19, Arthi is still creating beautiful sewing pieces. She recently sent 30 mini elephants for us to sell on our page. You can contact us for purchase. The mini elephants are $5 each.

Pray for these young ladies and girls that attend Unnati Ki Rah center. The pressure to marry at age 12 and 13 is tremendous from their culture. Pray that they will find the love of Jesus. Pray that their families will see value in finishing their high school education before marriage.

Arthi, age 19. A superb artisan.

Arthi’s mini elephants, $5 each.

Thank you so much for supporting BBI. Any amount helps.

Blessings,

Ellen
