The God Who Is

Read and reflect on Daniel Chapter 11.

This chapter is a long discourse between the Holy One (most likely Christ) and Daniel. The vision reveals details pertaining to future happenings about the kingdoms of the Medes-Persians, Greeks, and Romans.

Toward the end of the chapter, we learn that a Roman emperor will set himself up as a god and destroy God’s Holy Temple in Jerusalem. “Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him” (Daniel 11:45).

These are things that have already occurred in history, and we have the privilege of knowing it and the ability to look back on it and realize what God speaks is true. The knowledge of this should help secure your trust in this “god of Gods”, the God of Daniel.

It is our own personal battle of the soul to let the truth become a part of you. That is the mystery of gaining and maintaining a relationship with God. Truth becomes a part of you, and you know without a doubt, God Is.

Blessings,

Ellen
